I have grown up in a small town in Uttar Pradesh. I have been living in Delhi for more than ten years while my parents stay in hometown.
I am an Independent Social Documentary Photographer/Photojournalist working with national and international organisations. Please allow me to describe my career journey as it might help you to understand me as a person.I wanted to meet people, see their culture; travelling always excited me, listening and reading about activists would pump me up, and I always felt a curiosity for writing and doing something creative. So I decided I will never do a regular mundane job.
But what's next? I was tired and tensed with the uncertainty of my career so I took a gap year and started travelling with minimum resources and one day I got the opportunity to do survey for ministry of rural development. The Conditions in the villages we surveyed were appalling, casteism was rampant, and people were deprived of basic health care and access to Public Distribution System (;;;PDS);;;. I had never seen this world. I thought I would document these problems and show it to the world for an impact. I chose social documentary photography as the medium.
However I didn't know anything about it. I didn't know how to operate even compact camera but I boldly dared and bought an entry level DSLR. The journey has been a roller coaster ride. I met many people who supported me and believed in me. They have been my mentor and inspirations. I don't think anything else gives me this kind of contentment. I specially feel this when I see people discuss a problem after seeing my work and coming forward to support the cause. This is an activism for me and this is a goal of my work.
I hope I can sustain this through the challenges. I need to find a way to outreach my work to maximum people to make an impact, come over financial challenges and come out stronger than before. Sometimes its difficult but it is always close to my heart and I enjoy it!! People I meet on field give me hope.
The search for my life partner has taken a priority at this point. I am looking for an equal life partner who is independent with liberal views. I feel common understanding and respect for each other are important for any relation to live well. Let's talk not judge. Conversation is the best thing to understand each other.
Relationship binds us through emotions and respect for each other which strengthen both the partners to walk together in life ahead and wade through the various circumstances life offers and pave a better path for the posterity and society around.

Let's say no to dowry and extravaganza wedding. It's high time to change the burdensome and unwanted customs.
Wouldn't it be nice that girl doesn't leave her parents and family behind after marriage as our customs coerce us? In fact she remains equally be part of her parental family and be a part of new family. Same goes for me. In short lets break the norms of patriarchal set up of our society and find out a better way of happiness and togetherness. You might have some confusion with my point of view. Please write to me even if you don't have any intention to connect with me.
I prefer a spiritual or an atheist partner cum friend.
I can't force it to anyone but lets change our lifestyle and try to live a minimalist life for the sake of environment and our posterity. Trust me it gives personal immense satisfaction as well.
